Abusing The Welfare System

Abusing the welfare system seems to be easy for many people with low or no morals, however this is still allowed to happen.

The So Called Christmas Sales

Every year on boxing day, people queue up for several hours in the hope they will grab a bargain in the Christmas sales.

Traffic Cocks

Why is it, when you are stuck in a traffic jam there is always one person who wants to demonstrate how quickly they can accelerate only to know they will go 10 feet?

The Not So Healthy Dieter

For many years now, different people and companies have been telling you the right way to keep healthy and fit for a 'small' fee. Everyone knows that the main thing that you need is WILL-POWER, and this does not cost you anything.

Violators Of The Status Update

I know you're upset with someone, but ranting on a social network and trying to gain sympathy will not solve anything.

Exploitation Of New Babies And Pregnant Women

This is not a business idea, however, by the end of this you will think it's a good idea.

Think Before You Speak

This article is to highlight the stupidity of words and sentences that people use in everyday situations. Sometimes they are used by people to give their side of the conversation flair (clearly doesn't work) or as a conversation filler because they have nothing better to say.

We've been there when you've said something wrong and quickly corrected yourself with little or no mocking at your expense. But, how many times have your heard someone say something and you have had to
listen to it again and again in your head only to think "what a moron".

There are many examples of such a moment, here are just a few:

- "It's always in the last place you look". This is commonly used by people when they search for something that has been misplaced. Honestly, it will always be in the last place you look because once you've found it you won't carry on looking.

- "You're catching me up". Used mostly when someone older is discussing your age with you. I am never going to 'catch you up' because the age gap will never change.

- "A penny saved is a penny earned". No, it simply doesn't work like that. A penny saved is just a penny not spent. Keeping said penny does not equate to you gaining another penny by another means.

- "The pen is mightier than the sword". Seriously, I would like to meet the person who came up with this and ask them to choose their weapon.

- "Same difference". Which word are you struggling to grasp the meaning of, is it same or difference. Please let me know and I will get Google to explain it for you.

- "What's done is done". If you want to play that game, I will play along. By your logic there is no going back and changing it, is there?

- "New and Improved". Is it really? If its improved then it I'd not really new, and if it's new it certainly hasn't been around long enough to have an improvement.

- "I thought to myself". Doesn't it always work that way?

- "Where were you when you had it last?" Seriously, if I knew that I would know where it was

In conclusion, this is just a warning, you may think it sounds clever or just an awkward silence filler, but trust me, it's better to keep your mouth shut.

Do Indicators Cost Extra?

This is more of an addition to the Traffic Cocks post. Some people on the roads really annoy me because they think they own it. It really gets on my nerves when people think you can read their mind and they will either turn, brake or even worse, cut you up without letting you know. These people are the ones who think they are so important and everyone should watch them and try to guess the next move before they do it. Sometimes I feel tempted to purposely ram them with my car just to make a point (I won't but let's face it, everyone has been tempted to do something like this).

Violators Of The Status Update

I know you're upset with someone, but ranting on a social network and trying to gain sympathy will not solve anything.

"You have pissed me off for the last time and I will delete your number"

Something like this does not make people care for you anymore. It gives people the chance to think about you differently, wether this would be attention seeking, moaning or childish. When you publicly moan about someone, this makes you the annoying one.

Traffic Cocks

Why is it, when you are stuck in a traffic jam there is always one person who wants to demonstrate how quickly they can accelerate only to know they will go 10 feet?

Get a life, save you petrol and your brakes. You won't get there any quicker than me, I am still right behind you

Homosexual, Not Pedophile

I have seen it much more the older I get and do not understand the ignorance of people.

After reading a story from a few years ago, a gay teacher in America was driven out of his town by the local parents because they branded him as a pedophile. This goes to show how people do not have an open mind and show no tolerance against a persons life choice.

It has been more common with male homosexuals where they have been thought to be grooming young boys due to their sexuality. People with an 'old fashioned' frame of mind think like this and they need to tell themselves that gay does not mean pedophile.

Why does society think that gay people are different? Just because someone is homosexual, there is no more of a threat to anyone. The ignorance of people proves that what they don't understand is 'weird' or 'not normal'.

Something to think about:
Your child goes to school where you know one of the teachers is gay. One day you hear from another parent that a teacher has been accusing of grooming one of the students, which teacher would you think of first? It may surprise you how many people would think of the gay teacher. They may not do anything about it, but it takes just one person who jumps to conclusions and it can make someone's life hell for the wrong reasons.

Reboot Your Imagination

I know that this is another moan about movies, but when you enjoy films as much as me, you want there to be new ideas to grab you and keep you gripped.

It has now come to a point where I need to voice my opinion regarding reboots. For those of you who don't know, a reboot is what the filmmakers use to reinvent a story whilst disregarding any continuity from the original story we love. Reboots are often considered "safe" by the filmmakers as the movie franchise already has an established fan base.

Now, I know that many people will bitch and moan about reboots before they have even been released, but there are some remakes that are totally uncalled for.

Not The Governments Money, Our Money

Many times throughout my life I have seen politicians on the news arguing about spending the taxpayers money. I've always thought that I knew what was right, let's face it, everyone thinks they have the correct answer at some point.

Milking The Franchise - Part II

If you haven't read Part I yet, you can catch up HERE

Well George Lucas has done it again. I've just seen an advert for Star Wars Episode 1 in 3D. I reckon George has spent most of the last 20 years thinking of how he can make more money for the same ideas he's had. What next, a new Ewok TV programme?

Have I just given him an idea?

Abusing The Welfare System

Abusing the welfare system seems to be easy for many people with low or no morals, however this is still allowed to happen. These programs are in place for the correct reasons but idiots decide to abuse the system. Some people choose to stay on welfare for most of their life as it is 'easy' for them and this habit is passed down through the generations who see this as being the way to live.

Milking The Franchise - Part I

We all know it when you see a good film and you want to see them make a sequel because the first was so damn good. The issue I have is with production companies and directors who decide that they will milk the franchise just to make money rather than making good entertainment.

A prime example of the franchise 'milking' is Star Wars. When the original 3 films were released in the late 70's early 80's, everyone applauded how they good they were and how they were a cut above the rest when it came to other movies of the time. Fast forward 20+ years and George Lucas has already released a re-vamped version of the original movies along with an Ewok television programmes. Obviously running short of a few pennies, he decides to make another 3 movies which are in fact prequels to the originals.
